“Who can find a capable wife? Her value is far more than that of corals. Her husband trusts her from his heart, And he lacks nothing of value. She rewards him with good, not bad, All the days of her life.” – Proverbs 31:10-12
I knew before I was married, even as a child, that I wanted to be like the wife described in Proverbs. A wife like the women found throughout the Bible.
So many of her skills and discipline have been lost to this generation. The thought of a woman being in subjection to her husband looked down upon. There is nothing wrong with a woman being in subjection to her husband, in fact, a strong dynamic is built between husband and wife when this is followed. A woman can still contribute to her household while being in subjection.
The scripture in Proverbs 31 continues to go into detail all the hard work she does for her home. From buying what is needed for her family at a good price, to making what she can, even participating in trading- seeing that it is profitable. Not only that, but she is caring to those in need and makes a good name for her family. In the end, her husband praises her and all of her work!
This is the inspiration for my blog. With this blog I will keep myself accountable with goals while helping others who may also want to join me on this journey. I will share recipes I come across, ways to become more efficient, frugal, economical, and anything else that may help to becoming worth More Than Corals.
